Quiero Volver (trans. "I Want To Come Back") is sophomore studio album by Tini Stoessel. It was released by Hollywood Records and Universal Music Latin on October 12, 2018. The album was recorded between May 2017 and September 2018.
Background[]
After the releasing of her debut studio album Tini (Martina Stoessel), on April 29, 2016, who made positive impressions and criticisms, Stoessel began her world tour, at the end of which she declared that she had already started work on her second studio album. Recording sessions began in May 2017 with Stoessel working with various new producers including Andrés Torres, former producer of Luis Fonsi's 2017 hit song "Despacito".
In November 2017, Stoessel went to Los Angeles, Califronia where she had a meeting with Hollywood Records to discuss and record the album. Stoessel sought for Quiero Volver to sound as "an evolution" from her debut album Tini (Martina Stoessel) and the character of Violetta: Abandoning the character of Violetta, and her more pop side to look towards the Latin genre and reggaeton.
Song of the same name, was written for Stoessel's boyfriend Pepe, with whom she broke up, the video and the song itself were made in duet with her then current boyfriend Sebastián Yatra, which is special for her. The whole album is very personal with Stoessel's personal stamp, so this is her first album where she has at least written all the songs, except "Consejo de Amor".
Singles[]
On October 13, 2017 "Te Quiero Más" featuring Nacho, was released as the album's lead single, along with its music video.
On April 6, 2018 "Princesa" featuring Karol G was released as the second single of the album.
On June 22, 2018 "Consejo de Amor" featuring Morat was released as the third single.
On August 3, 2018 "Quiero Volver" featuring Sebastián Yatra was released as the fourth single from Tini’s album with the same name.
"Por Que Te Vas" was released on November 1, 2018 as the fifth and final single from album, featuring Cali Y El Dandee.
Promotion[]
The first promotion of the album was made on October 12, 2018 in Buenos Aires, in one shopping mall.
Tini also takes part in numerous festivals such as the Coca Cola Music Experience, but also in numerous television programs. On October 18, she sang the eleven songs from her album acoustically at Radio Disney Vivo.
Tour[]
In support of her first second album Quiero Volver, Stoessel has embarked on her second tour titled Quiero Volver Tour. The tour began on December 2018 at the Estadio Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina and ended on 18 September 2020 in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Movistar Arena.
The tour grossed $11 million with a total attendance of 525,000 tickets sold, of which approximately 126,000 belong to festivals and free events. Thanks to this tour, Tini obtained the record as the Argentine female artist with the most Luna Park sold out, giving a total of 9 concerts, of which 8 were totally sold out.
