Martina Stoessel-Muzlera profesionally known as Martina Stoessel or by her stage name TINI (born 21 March 1997), is Argentine singer, songwritter, actress, dancer and model. She gained popularity when she played the lead role of Violetta Castillo on the Disney Channel Latin America original series Violetta, and afterwards she has portrayed the same character in the movie Tini: The New life of Violetta. Following her contract deal with Hollywood Records in 2015, Stoessel released her AR chart-topper debut self-titled studio album Tini (Martina Stoessel) in 2016, that also includes sountrack from Tini: The Movie. The album's lead single "Siempre Brillarás", charted in the top ten of the Monitor Latino National Songs. She also releases english version of the song called "Born to Shine".

In August 2018, Stoessel released her lead single "Quiero Volver" with Sebastián Yatra, for her sophomore studio album Quiero Volver. The album debuted at number-one on Argentine chart, becoming her second to reach the top position in the country. Singles "Te Quiero Más" with Nacho, and "Por Que Te Vas" with Cali Y El Dandee, peaked at number 13 and 17 on the AR Billboard Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's first top-20 songs on the AR Hot 100 chart. Single "Princesa" featuring Karol G, charted at number 17 on the US Latin Pop. In 2020, Stoessel released her third studio album Tini Tini Tini, which charted at number two in Argentina. The album spawned eleven singles including the AR Billboard Hot 100 top-ten: "22", and top-five's: "Fresa", "Oye" and "Ella Dice" - making her the only artist in the history of the chart to score three top 10 hits on the AR Billboard Hot 100. In 2020, her collaboration "High (Remix)" with Maria Becerra and Lola Indigo, reached at number two at AR Hot 100, and helped her break trought Billboard Global Excl. US. In 2021, Stoessel released her second collaboration with Maria Becerra, titled "Miénteme", that become international successes. The single debuted at No. 1 on Billboard AR Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's first number-one single on the AR Hot 100 chart, and also helped her break trought Billboard Golbal 200.

Early life[]

Stoessel was born on March 21, 1997 and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Alejandro Stoessel and Mariana Muzerla. She has a brother named Francisco, who is year older than her, and he is also musican and model. Stoessel had loved singing and acting since she was little. She began her artistic training at an early age studying singing, piano, musical comedy, musical theater and dance. Stoessel was educated at two private bilingual schools: Colegio San Marcos and Colegio Martín y Omar de San Isidro. Stoessel had her first two roles in the first season of the popular Argentine children's telenovela, Patito Feo, as "Martina", and young "Anna" in a flashback episode.

Career[]

2007-2014: Beginnin and Breakthrough on Violetta[]

In 2011, Stoessel participated in the Spanish version of the song "The Glow" by Shannon Saunders, called "Tu Resplandor", which appears on the album Disney Princess: Fairy Tale Songs. She also performed this version for the final Disney Channel Latin America Celebratón event, on December 31, 2011. The song was later included in the compilation related to the program and was published in March of the following year.

In late 2011, Stoessel was chosen for the lead role in the Disney Channel Latin America series Violetta, co-production between Disney Channel LA, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where she plays the character of Violetta Castillo. Stoessel sang the series' theme song entitled, "En Mi Mundon", which was later released as a single on April 5, 2012 to promote the show. The song appearance on the first soundtrack album of the series Violetta, which was released in June 2012. Stoessel also made appearance on the album tracks "Te Creo", "Tienes Todo", with Pablo Espinosa, "Habla Si Puedes", "Junto a Ti" with Lodovica Comello, "Veo Veo" with Lodovica Comello and Candelaria Molfese, and "Ven y Canta". Subsequently, she recorded the Italian version "Nel Mio Mondo" and the English version "In My Own World". Both versions were included on a second soundtrack for Violetta, Cantar es lo que soy, released on November 29, 2012. The songs were also used as the theme songs for the series in its international broadcasts in Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States via Netflix. For this role, Stoessel won an award for "Female Newcomer", in the 2012 edition of Kids' Choice Awards Argentina, and was also nominated for the US version, the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, in the category "Favorite Latin Artist". On the third Violetta soundtrack album Hoy somos más, which was released in June 11, 2013, Stoessel appeared on tracks "Hoy somos más", "Euforia", "Código Amistad", "Cómo Queres", "Alcancemos Las Estrellas", "On Beat", "Se Enciende and "Si Es Por Amor". In November 2013, Stoessel recorded "Libre Soy" and "All'Alba Sorgerò", the Spanish and Italian versions of "Let It Go", the song from the 2013 Disney's animated film Frozen. Her version were used in movie ending credits in US. In November 2013, the third Violetta soundtrack, Violetta en Vivo was released. It features songs from Violetta season 1 and 2, and songs from the Violetta en Vivo concert tour.

Stoessel also participated in the television programs The U-Mix Show and Disney Planet for Disney Latin America. In 2014, Stoessel voiced a small role for the Italian dubbed version of the film Monsters University. In May 2014, Stoessel released her first book, a co-authored biography called "Simplemente Tini", about on her upbringing and eventual rise to international popularity. The same month, Stoessel held a free musical concert near the Monument to the Carta Magna and Four Regions of Argentina, organized by the city government of Buenos Aires, under the slogan "Cuidemos el planeta". The fourth Violetta soundtrack, Gira mi canción was released on July 18, 2014, featuring Stoessel on several tracks. In September 2014, Stoessel performed at the charity soccer match Partido Interreligioso por la Paz, convened by Pope Francis at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome where she sang "Nel Mio Mondo" and the cover version of John Lennon's song "Imagine". The sixth and final Violetta soundtrack, Crecimos Juntos was released on March 20, 2015.

2015–2016: Tini: The Movie and solo musical debut[]

Stoessel and some of the cast members of Violetta filmed the movie, Tini: The Movie, which was filmed in between concert stops for the television series' final international tour Violetta Live. Production began on October 7, 2015 and ended in mid-December 2015, where the movie filmed in various international locations, including Sicily, Cádiz, Spain, Madrid, and Buenos Aires. Teaser trailer featuring scenes from the movie was released in late-December 2015. The film was released in various Latin American and European countries. It was to be released in Argentina on July 14, 2016, but was released earlier on June 2, 2016.

On August 21, 2015, it was announced that Stoessel had signed a recording deal with Hollywood Records, to release her own solo material under the name "Tini". From January, 2016, to early March , 2016 she recorded her debut album in Los Angeles, California. Her debut self-titled album, Tini (Martina Stoessel), was released worldwide on digital and physical formats on April 29, 2016. The album contains two discs: one which serves as the soundtrack from Tini: The Movie and Stoessel's solo album of Spanish and English language songs. It debuted at Number one in Argentina, and sold over 100,000 copies worldwide in less than two months. The album also debuted in the top 10 in several other countries, including Italy, Germany, Austria and Poland, and later it became Stoessel's first gold certified album as a solo artist.Stoessel announced that "Siempre Brillarás" would be the lead single used to promote the release of Tini: The Movie. The song was available on March 25, 2016, with the pre-order purchase of her debut album. The song was also recorded in English and was released under the title, "Born to Shine". The music video for "Siempre Brillarás", featuring scenes from Tini: The Movie, was released on March 25, 2016. The single debuted at number 8 on the Monitor Latino National Songs chart. Following the release of the album, Hollywood Reporter magazine ranked Stoessel on their list of "The 20 Most Powerful Women in Global Television 2016". The music video for the soundtrack's promotional single, "Losing The Love", was released on May 6, 2016, and its music video included clips from the film. Stoessel performed songs from her debut album at her first showcase as a solo artist, at La Usina del Arte in Buenos Aires on June 12, 2016. The showcase was filmed and broadcast on her official YouTube channel from August 22, until August 28, 2016. On June 24, 2016, Stoessel released her third album single, "Great Escape", along with the Spanish-language version of the song, "Yo Me Escaparé". The music video for "Great Escape" was filmed in Buenos Aires and later released on July 8, 2016. The single debuted at number 12 on the Monitor Latino National Songs chart.

On October 14, 2016, Stoessel released the deluxe edition of her debut album, which includes "Yo Me Yo Me Escaparé" and the Spanish-language version of the song "Got Me Started", called "Ya No Hay Nadie Que Nos Pare", with vocals from Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra. Stoessel released "Got Me Started", along with "Ya No Hay Nadie Que Nos Pare", as her fourth album single to coincide with the release of the deluxe edition of her album. The music video for "Got Me Started" was released on December 8, 2016, while the video for "Ya No Hay Nadie Que Nos Pare" was released on January 19, 2017. The single debuted at number 12 on the Monitor Latino National Songs chart. Stoessel's fifth album single, "Si Tú Te Vas", was released on May 5, 2017, alongside the music video for the song. On March 18, 2017, Stoessel began her first solo concert tour, Got Me Started Tour, starting from Europe and then heading to Latin America.

In the summer of 2017, Stoessel guest-starred as herself in two episodes of the second season of Disney Channel Latin America television show, Soy Luna. In June, Stoessel was featured on "Todo es Posible", a collaboration with Spanish singer David Bisbal for the Tad Jones: The Hero Returns movie soundtrack. In July, Stoessel was featured on "It's a Lie", the song from The Vamps's third studio album Night & Day. Stoessel also appeared alongside fellow artist and the Voz Por La Paz foundation patron Odino Faccia on the world peace anthem, "Somos El Cambio", which was written by the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, and the song was first performed at the Red Voz Por La Paz ceremony the previous year. In late 2017, Stoessel made a guest appearance as herself in an episode of the telenovela Las Estrellas, and she was featured in a remix of "Lights Down Low" by MAX, titled "Latin Mix".

2017–2019: Quiero Volver and Tini Tini Tini[]

In May 2017, Stoessel begun recording her second studio album, with record producers Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres, former producer of Luis Fonsi's hit song "Despacito". Stoessel is credited as a songwriter on each track except "Consejo de Amor". Stoessel released her second studio album Quiero Volver, October 12, 2018. It debuted atop the chart in Argentina, becoming her second consecutive number one album in the country.

The collaboration between Stoessel and Venezuelan singer Nacho titled "Te Quiero Más" was released on October 13, 2017, as the lead single from the album. "Te Quiero Más", charted at number fifteen on the AR Billboard Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's first songs that charted on the AR Billboard Hot 100. On April 6, 2018, Stoessel released "Princesa", a duet with Karol G, as the second single from her second album. The song debuted at number sixty-nine on the AR Billboard Hot 100, and debuted at number seventeen on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart, becoming Stoessel's first charted single in the US. On June 22, 2018, Stoessel released "Consejo de Amor", featuring Colombian folk-rock band Morat, as the third single from her album. The song peaked at number thirty-three on the AR Billboard Hot 100. On 3 August 2018, Stoessel released "Quiero Volver", a duet with Sebastián Yatra, as the fourth single from the album, which debuted at number twenty-one on the AR Billboard Hot 100. The fourth and final single from the album "Por Que Te Vas", with Cali Y El Dandee was released on November 1, 2018. It debuted at number seventeen on the AR Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's second top-20 song on the AR Hot 100 chart.

On July 26, 2018, Stoessel was featured alongside Flo Rida, on a remix of Álvaro Soler's hit single "La Cintura". In October 2018, Stoessel attended her first-ever Latin American Music Awards where she performed "La Cintura", with Álvaro Soler and Flo Rida. On August 24, 2018, Stoessel was featured alongside Colombian singer Greeicy in a remix of the song "Lo Malo" by Spanish singers Aitana and Ana Guerra, whitch was one of the candidate songs to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. In August 2018, it was announced that Stoessel had joined La Voz... Argentina as a coach for the series' second season ,Stoessel voiced Moxy in the Spanish dubbed version of the animated musical comedy film UglyDolls, released in May 2019. In late 2018, Stoessel embarked on her second tour Quiero Volver Tour, with shows in South America and Europe. Following the tour's early success, more dates were added, and the tour concluded in March 9, 2020, after it lasted for almost two years, and the wake of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to this tour, Stoessel achieved a record as the only female artist with the most sold-out tickets at Estadio Luna Park, performing a total of nine concerts, eight of which were completely sold out. While she was taking breaks from the tour, Stoessel began recording songs for her third studio album, and kicked off her third music era, when she started to perform some of the songs from the album on tour. Later, in May 2020, Stoessel released, in collaboration with YouTube, a two-part docuseries titled Tini Quiero Volver Tour. It shows behind the scenes and concert footage from Stoessel's Quiero Volver Tour, and follows her professional life during the tour.

In May 3, 2019 Stoessel release "22", collaboration with Greeicy, as the lead single from her third album. The song peaked at number eight on Argentina Hot 100, and became Stoessel's first top-ten single on the chart. In July 2019, Stoessel released "Suéltate El Pelo", as the second single from her third album. The single was supported by the Pantene - hair productscompany, and it was announced that Stoessel become one of the ambassadors of Pantene production for Latin America. It peaked at number forty-six on the AR Hot 100 chart. On September 6, 2019, Stoessel released "Fresa", a collaboration with Colombian singer Lalo Ebratt, as the third single from her third album. The song peaked at number three on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's first top-five single on the chart. On October 11, 2019, Stoessel released "Oye", a duet with Sebastián Yatra, as the fourth single from her third album. The song debuted at number three on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's second top-five single on the chart in a row. The single became the third song in the history of the chart to achieve a debut at No. 3, and made Stoessel the only female artist to debut two songs in the top-5 on the AR Hot chart.

On January 10, 2020, Stoessel released "Recuerdo", a collaboration with Venezuelan duo Mau y Ricky, as the fifth single from her third album. The song peaked at number 12 on AR Hot 200, making Stoessel's third top-20 on the chard. On 15 July 2020, Stoessel appeared alongside fellow trap artist Khea on "Ella Dice", the sixth single from her third album. The song peaked at number four on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's third top-five single on the chart. On September 24, 2020, Stoessel released "Duele", featuring trap artist John C, as the seventh single from her third album. The song peaked at number ten on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's sixth top-ten single on the chart. On October 29, 2020, Stoessel appeared alongside Alejandro Sanz on "Un Beso en Madrid", the eighth single from her third album. It peaked at number nineteen on the AR Hot 100, and also charted at number forty-nine on the Spanish Chard, making Stoessel's second song appears on the Spanish chart. Stoessel released her third studio album Tini Tini Tini, on December 3, 2020; it debuted at number two on Argentine chart. The day of the album's release, Stoessel released "Te Olvidaré" as the ninth single. The tenth and final single, "Playa", was released in January 2021, as a limited Argentine radio release. Idolator webside named the album as one of the "70 Best Pop Albums Of 2020", listed it on 25th place. The album was also listed at "Top 5 Most Listened To Albums Worldwide on Spotify Charts". On December 6, 2020, Stoessel performed in a livestream concert titled Tini Tini Tini Live, where she presented the album. The concert was broadcast by Claro video platform.

In May 2019, it was announced that Stoessel had joined the talent show Pequeños Gigantes Argentina as a judge. In June 2019, Stoessel was featured on "Sad Song", a collaboration with Swedish DJ Alesso. In October 2020, Stoessel served as a key advisor on the Spanish version of The Voice for its seventh season. The collaboration between Stoessel and Colombian producer Ovy on the Drums titled "Ya No Me Llames" was released on March 25, 2020.

Stoessel appeared alongside Dutch DJ and producer R3hab and Mexican pop rock band Reik in a song titled "Bésame (I Need You)", released on June 5, 2020. On September 3, 2020, Stoessel appeared alongside Lola Índigo on the remix of Maria Becerra's song titled "High (Remix)". The remix peaked at number two on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's fourth top-five single on the chart. It was also reported that Stoessel would star alongside Sebastián Yatra in a Disney+ streaming television series titled Siempre fui yo. On December 24, 2020, Stoessel announced that she and Yatra have left the series pre-production following their separation and the COVID-19 pandemic, with their respective roles being taken over by Karol Sevilla and Pipe Bueno.

In March 2021, Stoessel revealed that she signed an exclusive publishing contract with Sony Music Latin. The collaboration between Stoessel and María Becerra titled "Miénteme" was released on April 29, 2021, as the lead single from Stoessel's upcoming fourth album. The song peaked at number one on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's first number-one single on the chart. The song also peaked at Billboard Global 200, and Global Excl. On June 21, 2021, Stoessel appeared alongside rapper Duki on the remix of musical duo MYA's song "2:50 Remix". The remix peaked at number three on Argentina Hot 100. On July 2, 2021, Stoessel collaborated alongside singers Lola Índigo and Belinda on the song "Niña de la Escuela" from the former's album La Niña. On August 19, 2021, Stoessel released "Maldita Foto", a collaboration with singer Manuel Turizo, as the second single from her upcoming fourth album. Stoessel appeared alongside Danny Ocean on the song "Tú no me Conoces", released on October 1, 2021. On November 11, 2021, Stoessel released "Bar", a collaboration with singer L-Gante, as the third single from her upcoming fourth album, and she announced the following day a concert tour Tini Tour 2022 supporting the album. "Bar" debuted at number six on Argentina Hot 100 and the song's top ten debut on the chart. The song later peaked at number one on Argentina Hot 100, becoming Stoessel's second number-one single on the chart.

On 26 November 2021, Stoessel contributed to the soundtrack of the animated film Koati with a song titled "Vueltas en Tu Mente". On November 29, 2021, in an interview with Glamour Mexico, Stoessel announced that her fourth album will be released in 2022 and that she has experimented with new musical genres and collaborated with several artists on it, and she also revealed that she's starring in a Chinese period drama film titled The Diary, directed by Jackie Chan, and that the movie's release date got delayed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On December 9, 2021, Stoessel released a song titled "Aquí Estoy" as part of her second collaboration with Pantene, coinciding with the release of the music video featuring the winners of the Aquí Estoy Challenge, and the promotional livestream concert titled Aquí Estoy Show. On February 17, 2022, Stoessel released "Fantasi", a collaboration with singer Beéle, as the fourth single from her upcoming fourth album. The song peaked at number ten on Argentina Hot 100.

In June 11 2018 it was reported that Stoessel started dating Columbian singer Sebastián Yatra. They first meet 2016, on the set of music video Got me Started. In 2018 they relesed theyr second duet Quiero Volver, then the fans suspected they were together. The same year they posted on instagram that they are officially together, and Yatra relesed single "Cristina" which he dedicated to Martina and in which a love story is told. Year later they released a sequel to Yatra’s song song called "Oye" and announced a joint Disney+ series. The two have been sharing just weeks since their joint anniversary celebrations, unfortunately the couple broke up on May 16, 2020.

It was in March of 2022, that the first photos of the singer and the footballer Rodrigo de Paul walking through the streets of Ibiza came to light. From there, the images and videos did not stop emerging. In June 2 2022 Tini confirmed that she started dating the Argentinan football player. In November 2021 they met personally at a barbecue that took place when the footballer was in Argentina playing the Qualifiers. After that first match, an exchange of telephone contacts and some secret meetings followed. The couple was strengthened and the expressions of love from both began to go viral. Even her family accompanied him at the World Cup in Qatar.
